Minecraft first
Two editions. Two tested tracks.
Compatibility will be explicit, not assumed across editions.
01 / BEDROCK
Bedrock Edition
The first prototype evidence comes from the official Bedrock Dedicated Server on Ubuntu. Resource packs, behaviour packs, server versions and supported player devices will be recorded as one tested combination.
Designed for families and private groups
Windows, mobile and console journeys validated separately
No unofficial console workaround presented as guaranteed support
02 / JAVA
Java Edition
Java hosting will have its own server, version, loader and content compatibility records. Mods and modpacks will not be presented as interchangeable with Bedrock add-ons.
Vanilla and curated modded profiles assessed separately
Dependencies, licences and update paths recorded
Exact supported combinations published only after testing
Guided setup
A recommendation with reasons.
01
Choose edition and devices
Start with Bedrock or Java and the devices people will actually use. The setup should refuse incompatible combinations before purchase.
02
Describe the group
Expected players and workload style help size CPU, memory, storage and a safe amount of spare capacity.
03
Select supported content
Choose from content reviewed for compatibility, provenance, licensing, resource use and a documented rollback path.
04
See the operating boundary
The recommendation explains resources, backups, updates and support scope before a customer confirms anything.
What must happen before availability
The signed-in Games beta lets the owner save separate Bedrock and Java setups and review candidate recommendations. The workload contracts and local operator prototype are testable, but the beta cannot provision a customer server. Galacia must validate edition-specific server versions, client connection journeys, capacity, backups, restore, upgrades and rollback before offering a service. There are no published plans, prices, supported device matrix or launch date yet.
The existing private Bedrock server remains a separate personal service and prototype reference. It will not become a Galacia Hosting workload unless the platform, migration and rollback gates pass.
