Define the evaluation

Choose a small group of users, representative records and non-sensitive files. Write down the actions each role needs to perform and how you will recognise success.

Agree the storage model

The working model is customer-owned cloud storage, with a customer-hosted transfer gateway where required. Identify the owner of credentials, retention settings, backups, region selection and provider charges. Supported configurations are still being validated.

Verify the everyday journeys

When a validated release is available, check setup, access, upload, download and failure recovery using its published instructions. Include both permitted and restricted users. Do not assume a successful administrator test proves the experience for every user.

Prepare operations and recovery

Before a production rollout, agree who handles support, how storage connections are monitored and how changes can be reversed. Package-specific upgrade, removal and recovery instructions remain release prerequisites.
