Agree your requirements

Choose a small group of users, representative records and non-sensitive files. Write down the actions each role needs to perform and how you will recognise success.

Agree the storage model

Vault uses customer-owned Amazon S3 storage for the current assisted setup. Agree any infrastructure responsibilities with Galacia for your configuration. Identify the owner of credentials, retention settings, backups, region selection and provider charges. Confirm the configuration, storage and download needs in your written offer.

Verify user workflows

During onboarding, check setup, access, upload, download and failure recovery for your agreed configuration. Include both permitted and restricted users. Do not assume a successful administrator test proves the experience for every user.

Prepare operations and recovery

Before a production rollout, agree who handles support, how storage connections are monitored and how changes can be reversed. Agree support scope and the steps for upgrades, removal and recovery with Galacia.
